Multicultural Content Strategist and Copywriter
Collier.Simon is an independent, full-service creative agency in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. We work with our client partners to develop creative solutions that truly move the needle. Clients range from Fortune 500-type household names to up-and-comers across a variety of industries / verticals. We're in the midst of a tech-powered transformation, using AI to supercharge creativity, not replace it, and we're looking for curious minds excited to explore AI as a tool to scale, spark, and speed up creativity.
We're looking for a Multicultural Content Strategist and Copywriter to own the writing across a high-volume performance marketing client with a deep portfolio of brands, regional markets, and a significant Hispanic audience across the United States. This is a bilingual, multicultural-forward role. You'll write original copy in both English and Spanish, develop culturally grounded messaging strategies for Hispanic markets, and ensure that multicultural creative is never an afterthought — it's built into the work from the start.
Beyond multicultural strategy, this role covers the full breadth of copywriting at a high level: brand-level concepting, campaign development, and high-volume executional work across every channel. You'll partner with art directors, collaborate with media partners on multicultural plans, and bring a systems-minded approach to scaling creative across hundreds of touchpoints. You'll also work closely with our Head of Creative Technology to identify opportunities to automate templated and redundant work using AI tools.
You Might Be a Fit If You…
- You lead through the quality of your work — shaping creative direction, driving concepting sessions, and setting the standard for what great copy looks like on the account
- You write original copy in both English and Spanish — you don't just translate, you create natively in each language with an understanding of cultural context and nuance
- You understand the range within Hispanic audiences and can write authentically across different cultural contexts
- You think brand-first, even in a performance and retail-driven environment
- You're comfortable writing across every format: broadcast, video, audio, OOH, digital, CRM, web, social, and print
- You understand the difference between brand-level messaging, regional campaigns, and localized executions — and can write for all three
- You can navigate brand guidelines, legal and compliance requirements, and offer-driven messaging without losing the creative thread
- You're a systems thinker who builds frameworks, templates, and modular writing systems that scale
- You want to concept with art directors, not just fill in copy decks
What You’ll Do
- Own all copywriting for a major client — from brand campaigns to market-level executions — in both English and Spanish
- Drive multicultural and bilingual strategy across regional and market-level campaigns, ensuring Hispanic-facing work is culturally grounded and locally relevant
- Translate client business goals into clear, insight-led multicultural briefs for creative
- Collaborate with media partners to align creative with multicultural media plans
- Develop strategic messaging platforms and adapt them across channels, formats, and tiers (brand, regional, local)
- Write across the full media mix: broadcast scripts, video, audio, OOH, digital display, CRM, web, and social
- Navigate technical writing requirements including offers, legal disclaimers, and compliance language
- Partner with art directors on concepting and campaign development — not just execute against their direction
- Build modular writing frameworks and templates that scale across a large portfolio of brands and markets
- Oversee day-to-day management of multicultural projects, timelines, and stakeholder communication
- Collaborate with the Head of Creative Technology to identify and automate templated or redundant copy task
Requirements
- 7+ years of copywriting experience, with significant time in an agency environment
- Fluent bilingual writer (English/Spanish) — able to concept and write original copy in both languages, not just translate
- Deep understanding of U.S. Hispanic markets and the cultural nuance required to write authentically for diverse Hispanic audiences
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both brand/campaign-level work and high-volume executional writing
- Experience writing across multiple channels and formats, including broadcast, digital, and direct response
- Comfort with technical writing: offers, legal copy, compliance language, and fine print
- Systems-minded approach to writing: you build templates, frameworks, and modular content that scale
- Self-directed with strong editorial judgment — you take ownership of the work from concept through delivery
- Excellent collaboration skills, especially with art directors, media partners, and creative leadership
- Actively using AI tools to improve your creative process and output — you're on board with where the industry is heading
- Must be available to work standard PST hours
Bonus Points If You…
- You've led transcreation efforts — adapting campaigns across English and Spanish rather than just translating them
- You've navigated the nuance of writing for Spanish-dominant vs. bilingual vs. English-preferred Hispanic audiences
- You've worked on accounts with multi-brand portfolios, franchise structures, or regional/local marketing hierarchies
- You can show real examples of how AI has changed the way you work, not just tools you've tried
What We Offer
- A collaborative, forward-thinking creative culture where craft, experimentation, and systems thinking are all valued
- Fully remote work environment with PST-based hours
- Full-time salary and benefits including healthcare, 401(k), generous PTO, and professional development support
