Role Overview
Collier.Simon is seeking a Group Account Director with a strong background in performance creative and deep expertise in social media buying, planning, and creative strategy. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to drive measurable business results through data-driven, performance-focused campaigns across social and digital platforms. The Group Account Director will lead several high-profile accounts, ensuring strategic alignment and flawless execution of social media and digital-first initiatives, from creative ideation through to execution.

This position requires a leader who can blend strategic oversight with hands-on account management, while continuously pushing the boundaries of creative performance marketing. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with media teams and a solid understanding of how media planning integrates with creative strategy to drive optimal outcomes. Experience in the QSR (quick-service restaurant) industry is a big plus.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that all campaigns are strategically aligned with performance goals. Build and maintain strong relationships, becoming a trusted advisor on social media and digital marketing best practices.
  • Performance Creative Strategy:
    Lead the development of high-impact, performance-driven creative campaigns across social media and other digital platforms. Work closely with media planning teams to ensure creative assets are optimized for performance across different channels (Meta, TikTok, Google, etc.).
  • Social Media Expertise:
    Provide strategic direction on social media buying, planning, and creative, ensuring campaigns leverage the right platforms, ad formats, and targeting strategies. Stay ahead of social media trends and platform updates to continually enhance performance.
  • Data-Driven Insights:
    Leverage data and performance metrics to inform creative strategies and optimize campaigns in real-time. Collaborate with media, analytics, and creative teams to refine messaging and creative assets based on performance insights.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship:
    Lead and mentor a team of account managers and creatives, fostering a culture of performance excellence and collaboration. Ensure teams are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver outstanding results.
  • Client Growth & Development:
    Proactively identify opportunities to scale and grow client accounts through innovative performance creative strategies and advanced social media techniques. Drive revenue growth by introducing new approaches and solutions that align with client business goals.
  • Financial Accountability:
    Manage account budgets, ensuring all campaigns meet financial targets. Assist in optimizing resource allocation and media spend to maximize ROI for clients.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in account management with a strong focus on performance-driven creative and social media campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of social media buying, planning, and creative strategies across platforms like Meta, TikTok, Google, and more.
  • Proven ability to lead successful performance marketing campaigns that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience in the QSR industry and/or driving and supporting loyalty programs is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for clients and teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple client relationships.
  • Passion for data-driven creative solutions and staying ahead of trends in digital and social media marketing.

Collier.Simon is an independent creative agency in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. We work with our client partners to develop creative solutions that truly move the needle. Clients range from Fortune 500-type household names to up-and-comers across a variety of industries / verticals.

Although we still have our office in Los Angeles, our team continues to have the flexibility to work from home. However, for this particular role we are looking to hire someone based in Southern California as there will be regular in-person meetings with clients and agency partners in LA /OC/SD area.
